The renowned publisher has welcomed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to direct the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the forthcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Management Shift Comes After Lukewarm Response
Brinkman assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the exit of previous head Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' lackluster early showing last fall.
On Wednesday, 2K president a key figure updated staff about this strategic move through an internal memo, which highlighted that playtesting had shown the necessity for a more defined direction.
The president stated that the developers is now refining the project with a revised focus, aiming to address gamer demands.
Trend of Key Recruitment
This announcement follows a comparable step taken by the publisher in the summer, when they hired an industry veteran from the Diablo team to work on the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.

Hello Everyone—
I understand you all just wrapped up your meeting - I trust you’re as excited as I am with the recent updates. Previously I shared you all a note, I stated the following: “I am confident in this crew. You all are some of the most driven and talented developers we have had the opportunity to collaborate with - and we’re eager for that collaboration to continue.”
With your dedication and flexibility, especially over the last year, you repeatedly show that.
The community feedback from last autumn’s the game playtest was revealing. It validated the appeal of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It uncovered the need for a clearer vision.
It has been motivating to see how far you’ve progressed. You embraced the feedback to mind and revamped the title with a renewed goal - one that’s poised to deliver on its ambition to our audience.
The belief in Project ETHOS grows every day. To boost the outstanding advancement you’ve made, I am thrilled to introduce the new hire as the incoming Lead of 31st Union. After some time of conversations, Ben officially joins us on the specified date.
His management and background in the competitive gaming field is vast, having spent the recent years developing and leading some of the most well-known series in the industry, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, and more recently, Apex Legends.
Please join me in welcoming him soon. We are all looking forward to keep witnessing the development of the game in the weeks to follow.
David

Title Details and Concept
Project Ethos was unveiled in last year together with a public demo. Then, the developers described the game as a "free-to-play, 3rd-person action-packed experience and an innovative step forward on the style."
"Create your ideal gameplay session—or face defeat—in this engaging over-the-shoulder adventure! Customize your character in live gameplay to match your preferred approach," the official summary states. "Take on the competition with fresh skills, risks, and challenges that change every match. Will you withdraw carefully with your collected items? Or aim high, gamble everything, and hope your squad can achieve the highest spot? The decision is yours."
Project Ethos does not have an announced launch window or consoles, but enthusiasts can look forward to more updates as development advances.
